Isn't this a great idea?

I came across this blog called goods4girls and I really thought it was a great idea. I think this would be a great service project for those who can sew.....

Dress up time....which reminds me....that bear costume Jack wore that a long time ago (not that long ago, but it sure seems like it). When Jack put it on for the first time and looked in the mirror he was so scared of himself he just cried....and cried.

More Soccer!

Last game! Jack scores a goal and gets his traditional juice and snack after the game. Oh, and you notice the traditional award at the end of the season too.....He was excited to have his first award!

Little 500

Drew's track and field day consisted of a Little 500 race on these scooters that they have to move by wiggling. Drew one his first race. Another fun day at school!

Kansas

We went to Kansas City with our church and had a blast. We left on Sat. morning and came back Memorial Day morning at 1am. I got to sing in the choir which was fun and the kids (and Scott) had a blast riding for 9 hours in a bus. Right Scott?

Molly was quite pampered with attention almost the whole bus ride....and she wasn't in a seat belt so she was very pleasant almost the whole trip. She did have one melt down.

Teryn was able to get Molly to go to sleep (when I couldn't). She has that special touch.

Soccer

Jack's first season of soccer. He started out knowing very little about soccer (me too) and by the end he knew what to do and did very well. It was such a joy to watch him for the first time work together with others. He did get tired out quickly, but that's ok. He would get a few goals at the last few games and was excited to play defense.

Eating lunch with the other Indy Klops on a beautiful May day. Jack loves this picture as he points out that he was showing everyone his pizza.

Lost a tooth!!!! Jack was extremely excited to loose his first tooth! He just couldn't wait to put it under his pillow and try to stay awake for the tooth fairy. Drew (being the competitive one) didn't want Jack to get all the attention, so he quickly started working on one of his baby teeth to see if it would come out too. They have the same discussion about the tooth fairy being real or not anytime one looses a tooth. Their cousin told them that they had a loose tooth that fell out in the middle of the night and he put it under his pillow and the tooth fairy did not come, so it must be their parents because they didn't know about it.

I spent a short day at the zoo with Jack's preschool. Molly was thrilled to ride the school bus and not have to wear a seat belt.

I wanted to capture a moment of bliss.....homemade donuts for breakfast. Powdered sugar everywhere, but they were good:)

Drew does a great job playing with Molly. He even sits and plays dollies with her once in awhile.

Can we swim?

Everyday since about Memorial Day, the boys have been asking when we would go swimming...well, as soon as it got hot and sticky we have been to the pool. It wears them out which is nice because then they go to bed a lot easier. Drew and Jack are proud of themselves that they were able to swim underwater today. Jack has been pretty daring, as he is at most things, so he went first in dunking under. Drew, of course, had to prove that he could too. Molly took off swimming by herself with her life jacket and was pretty proud that she didn't have to hold on to mommy.

Graduation-Kindergarten that is....

Drew graduates from Kindergarten. The school had a really nice program and ceremony. It's hard to believe I have moved into the PTO mom, soccer mom, etc.....

Drew and Mrs. Bailey (his teacher)at the reception after graduation. She is a wonderful teacher and I am glad Drew had her.

Jack & Molly at graduation. Doesn't she look so sweet?

When the Rain Comes

When the rain comes it seems that everyone has gone away.
When the night falls you wonder if you shouldn't find someplace to run and hide
Escape the pain
But hiding's such a lonely thing to do
I can't stop the rain
From falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain
But I will hold you 'til it goes away
When the rain comes you blame it on the things that you have done
When the storm fades you know that rain must fall on everyone
So Rest awhile
it'll be alright
No one loves you like I do
When the rain comes
I will hold you
